Surf Technique: The Cutback with Focus Sup Hawaii

Global Partner

Focus Sup Hawaii’s Team Rider Omri Hazor gives a step-by-step instruction on executing a cutback in the surf.

Sup Tricks – How to do a Cutback:

1. Generate speed down the line with your legs

2. Look for the point where you will start your cutback

3. Put your weight into your heels and push your paddle forward in order for your legs to rotate the paddleboard over the foam

4. Once you return to the foam, shift your weight forward over the second rail and start looking down the line towards your next turning point.

“Sometimes you have to cut back in order to move forward!”  – Omri Hazor
