How do we find the boards we love?

Global Partner

One of the biggest challenges for anyone beginning their paddle boarding journey is finding the right board for them and the type of paddle boarding they want to do. Something that helps to cut through all that confusion is a recommendation from a friend, loved one, another user or trusted person.
Over the next month Red Paddle Co will be running a campaign to showcase their range of boards, the real people who use them and what can be done with each board.

Do you own a Red Paddle Co board?  Want another?

To help communicate this Red Paddle Co are looking to enlist the help of their passionate community of existing board owners, encouraging them to submit a profile of themselves and the board that they own along with images of them with their trusty steeds.

The submitted profiles will then be used alongside those of Red Paddle Co friends and adventurers to champion each board and the many different types of people using them so you can find your perfect board.

“Which board is right for ME?”

Charlie Green, Red Paddle Co’s Head of Marketing reports, “The most common question we get asked by those looking to take to the water for the very first time and even existing paddlers looking to take the next step is, ‘What board is right for me?’. It’s such an important question as nothing is more important to us than ensuring people are getting the most out of their time on the water by finding the right paddling partner for them.”

The campaign will focus on sharing the standup paddling love and all those that enter a profile will be entered into a competition to win a Red Paddle Co inflatable board of their choice.*

Open to ALL Red Paddle Co users/owners

The competition is open to anyone that owns a Red Paddle Co board. If you’re the lucky winner it is then up to you to decide whether to keep the winning board for yourself, or to share the love and give it to a friend or loved one so you have a new paddle boarding pal!

No matter how old or well-loved it is, whether it’s a 10’6” Ride or a 8’10” Whip, Red Paddle Co want to hear why your chosen board is the best paddle board for you, hopefully inspiring someone just like you to take up standup paddling.

To Enter:

To enter the competition just head to the Red Paddle Co website and complete your profile: The closing date is midnight on Monday 21st August 2017.

*Please note the offer does not apply to multi person, Race or Elite boards.

Evelyn O’Doherty
Evelyn O'Doherty, owner & publisher of the new Standup Journal 2.0, worked her way up the ranks in the world of stand up paddling. A former surfer gone rogue, Evelyn stepped onto a SUP for the first time in 2009 when a plaguing neck injury kept her out of the water from surfing. Discovering the core benefits and expanded perspective on the water that stand up paddling brings, Ev immediately was hooked. She became a strong SUP racer in the North East and a year-round SUP surfer, gathering multiple top brand sponsorships including becoming a team rider for Starboard SUP and a national ambassador for Kialoa, as well as celebrating all aspects of the sport with additional brand ambassadorships including lululemon athletica, Clif Bar, Cobian, Kaenon & Indo Board. Her love of watersports and commitment to advocacy in preserving our marine environments led to a short film made with The Nature Conservancy as part of their Clean Water initiatives on Long Island, NY, called "A New Perspective". Evelyn just keeps paddling. Today, she's stepped up to take over the helm at Standup Journal after having worked for the magazine for 2 years as senior online editor. Her dedication and belief in the power of print to immerse readers in the watersports they love even if they don't have access to the water in a daily existence plus a powerful desire to spotlight the amazing people doing rad sh*t on the water is what drives her vision for Standup Journal 2.0. Evelyn welcomes the conversation about how to make the magazine benefit as many people as possible and encourages feedback, letters to the editor and communication at . Now, as owner/publisher for Standup Journal., Evelyn continues to live in East Hampton NY where she has daily access to the water. When the swell is working, you can find her in Montauk rattling around in her Ford Ranger surfboards hanging out the back headed for points East.
