Part photographer, part adventurer, full-time good times kind of guy.
Growing up in southern Ontario and being surrounded by lakes and rivers had a big impact on John’s life. Water sports were a staple rather it was water skiing, windsurfing, competitive swimming or water polo. Everything changed when he was introduced to whitewater kayaking at the age of 17 though. Exploring rivers brought out the adventurous side of John.
After 10 years of full time paddling, it was time for a change, but there was no way to get John off the water. Exploring on a standup board became the next thing, rather it be lakes, rivers or ocean.
During John’s time of traveling and exploring, he also picked up photography and quickly became an internationally published photographer. It only felt right for him to capture the remote places and amazing moments him and his crew would find themselves in.
John is now living in his 1991 VW Westfalia and traveling around North America working on a mental wellness project called Searching For Sero. The project shares the stories of those who use outdoor adventure as a key to happiness in life. John expects to publish a photo book at the completion of the project.
