Mike Doyle Paddle Out Video
Mike Doyle, a celebrated surfer from the 1960’s was inducted into the Surfing Hall of Fame in Huntington Beach in 2003, CA. Mike was runner-up in the 1964 World Championships of Surfing. He was also the United States and World Champion in tandem surfing in 1965. He would go on to create a brand of surfboards (and later SUP’s) called Doyle Surfboards, and innovate the materials to collaborate and develop the first soft foam-topped boards in the industry. His shapes for both hard & soft boards are legendary.
Mike passed away at his home in April 2019. On June 3rd, friends & family organized a paddle out and celebration of the life of Mike Doyle, who’s generous spirit and pioneering designs brought him much accolades after his professional surfing career was over.
