Surf Snowdonia, an epic wave park in the UK, just opened it’s doors to the public, but before it did it gave Starboard team riders a chance to test out the waves and see how they would work for standup paddling. Surf Snowdonia has 2 different size waves that all run at once. The Overhead Wave is a 2M wave (advanced surfers). The Reef Wave is 1.3M (intermediate surfers). The Beginner Bay Wave (Perfect for any first timers) is 0.5 M of whitewater.
In the intermediate and advanced sections you can catch 20 waves per hour if you catch every single wave. In the beginner’s bay you can expect to have the chance to catch up to 30 per hour and is also great for working on your technique.
