“We are so excited to win a paddleboard!
imagination contest winnerWe work with Youth with A Mission and our team is based in Croatia www.YWAMcroatia.com. We use sailing and water sports as a tool for character development, youth work, and sail training. We work with young people from Croatia and abroad and also alongside the local Church here to serve the poor and needy. Each summer, we help to run a camp for Croatian kids, teaching them English and providing the opportunity for extreme fun!

We own a sailboat that we use for our work and now we own a paddle board too! So often, young Croatian kids see the tourists coming each year and having fun out on the water but it can be too expensive for the locals, so we like to provide a way to get them on the water too. Thanks for everyone who voted for us. You have really blessed us and others here in Croatia.” -Jarod

Stormy Seas Sunset

Trent Ventura

Description:
This is me, Trent Ventura, paddling in the Atlantic Ocean off of the coast of Indian Harbor, FL. I sailed over 1500 miles during this season of life, covering Annapolis MD to Tampa Bay FL, and everywhere we went the paddleboards went too. For touring we (my dog and I) used the SurfTech 11'6" Flowmaster, and for surfing (in this picture) I am riding a board I designed, and Island Inspired built, at 7'0" x 24" x 64L. This board holds just a little more volume than I carry in weight and allows me to sink deeper into the water for sweeter surfing! After receiving my fundamental SUP education from 3 years spent working for SurfTech in Honolulu I packed my backs and moved back to South Carolina to open the Carolina Waterman! I love paddling so much that I quit my job in Hawaii and moved 6000 miles to open the first Paddleboard Instruction organization in Myrtle Beach.
