maine beach eventThe charity SUP Race “Paddle for Pink”, benefitting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, kicks off on Saturday, August 17th at 8:00 am at Haven’s Beach in Sag Harbor, where the race course will be laid out into beautiful Noyac Bay. This is a World Paddle Association National Qualifying Race, with a 3 and 6-mile course in 4 classes:

Elite Class (14 ft.) Men’s and Women’s division – 6 Mile course
Stock Class (12-6 ft.) Men’s and Women’s division – 6 Mile course
Rec class (12-2 and under) Men’s and Women’s division – 6 Mile course

Recreational Race Family-friendly fun and all are welcome – 3 Mile course SUP board classes will also be available.
The East Hampton Volunteer Ocean Rescue Squad will provide race support with jet-ski, paddler, and rescue swimmer coverage along the course. Spectators are welcome!

A sunset “Party for Pink” will take place starting at 6:30 pm that evening on a private estate overlooking the bluffs of North Haven, at the residence of Lisa & Richard Perry. Celebrity Paddlers Gabrielle Reece and Laird Hamilton will attend the party, with live music by Tom Curren and Brendan Fallis.
