Total Swiss Family Robinson Sup Escape In The South Pacific

“This trip evolved when and old mate of mine Dave Sheen contacted me saying he’s been setting up on an island for whale watch charters in Tonga. He has set up a land based camp and a boat for scooting to other waves in the vicinity.

At short notice we put together a group of stoked stand up paddlers including mate Pete Cox, his mate Benny Brown (Both from Over East ), whom I didn’t know and an older fella from my parts (west Coast Australia) Chris Waterman. (63 yrs young) Dave sent a few pics through to wet our appetite, but nothing could have prepared us for the experience!

The food was caught fresh every day on this perfect deserted islands with no inhabitants and several super fun reef passes adjacent. It was total Swiss Family Robinson castaway kind of stuff which was the perfect remedy for an over teched world. Coffee, eat, surf, eat, surf drink beer eat sleep. What a glorious existence it was…if only for a short while:)”
